Conference Hosts

gov-picThe Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women is hosted by Governor Edward G. Rendell and the Pennsylvania Commission for Women.

Welcome from Governor Edward G. Rendell

Please join me for the seventh annual Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

The Conference, hosted in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Commission for Women, offers the women of our state tools and opportunities to focus their talents, foster their skills, and further their goals—both personal and professional.

In today’s challenging economic climate, the resources, opportunities, and support that the Conference offers are more important than ever.

In addition to the impressive keynote lineup, workshop leaders and panel speakers will share a vast range of experiences and expertise on the issues that matter most to women today, including finances, health, work-life balance, career advancement, and leadership. We'll build on the success of last year's ReWork Career Fair with a Mentor Match as well as workshops on networking and career change. The Conference will continue its Young Women's Forum for junior and senior high school students, offering wonderful insight and motivation for our state’s next generation of leaders.

I hope you will join the First Lady and me, along with the Pennsylvania Commission for Women, for a very powerful event. We look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh on October 14.

Sincerely,

Edward G. Rendell
Governor
